Longing

There is a heaviness on my heart

An unquenchable desire to feel your touch

The longing for your lips to devour mine

To feel finger tips tracing every inch of my skin

Will the pain of absent body ever go away?

Will the wishes I make in silence come true?

No more can my heart bare the lonesome defeat

No more can my body pretend to withstand the cold from an empty bed

Come home to me and put this wary life to rest

Come home to me

Now and forever more
